Stuck in the chicken/egg struggle of employers who want agile & scrum experience, but you need to be hired to get agile & scrum experience?
Are you currently participating and want to augment and refresh your skills?
Want to build your rep as a practitioner?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then join Scrum Club. We hold monthly networking meetings and run volunteer scrum projects online. Visit us on the web at: http://www.scrumclub.org

LEARN AGILE & SCRUM

Most people have a hard time learning Scrum even if they are professionally trained and certified because we forget 60% of what we learn in a class the next day. Our organization provides opportunities for daily reinforcement of in-class knowledge by applying it to real problems. Our moderated lists stimulate the group to crowdsource agile knowledge. Our members include certified scrum coaches (CSC), trainers (CST), practitioners (CSP), and masters (CSM).

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE WITH DISTRIBUTED TEAMS

Our online scrums complete an actual project chosen by the team for the benefit of a deserving non-profit organization. The simulations will introduce Scrum rules, guidelines, and methodologies to some and refresh them for others. We cover the basics of project planning, execution and closeout using Scrum tools and team management systems.

HIRE & GET HIRED: OWNERS, MASTERS, PIGS, and CHICKENS

Your participation, role(s), and accomplishments will be verifiably documented and available to use as credentials on your resume. Hiring managers can meet candidates and get a feel for how they would mesh with the team prior to hire.

BRING SCRUM CLUB TO WORK

Is your company currently rolling out agile and scrum on pilot projects? Consider asking for Scrum Club at work as an employee program to facilitate cultural change. Contact sponsors@scrumclub.org for more information.

LOCAL USER GROUP MEETINGS

Like any other user group, we have local meetings and networking events to reinforce our online association and build membership. We currently have two user groups under our umbrella in Los Angeles in Silicon Valley, and expect to spread to other cities this summer. If you are interested in starting a group in your local area or adding opportunities and benefits to a current user group, please contact clubs@scrumclub.org.
