To get involved with the EsiObjects project, please follow the steps below.

  1. First, if you have not registered, please so by clicking on the Register link above.
  2. Now visit the background page if you have not already done so. It will explain the motivation for the project and relationships to other projects.
  3. The EsiObjects project has always had Code Standards. The release phase will require that these standards are met. Initially, scan the document and as you start working, use it as a reference.
  4. This project uses the SourceForge SVN and CVS for version control repositories. Since using these repositories is required, you should understand how to access and use them. You will need a client program on your machine to communicate with the repository. Please read the repositories page for more detailed information.
  5. If you do not have EsiObjects installed on your development machine, you should download and install it.
  6. After installing it, if you are not familiar with how to use the EsiObjects IDE, you should first quickly go through the Getting Started tutorial that can be found in the Help menu. Then, take the Tutorial that is in the Help menu. This is a detailed tutorial that teaches you how to use the system. Please note, it is a very complete tutorial, consequently, it take time. Do not try to complete the entire tutorial at once, interleave it with other project responsibilities.
  7. Discuss what you want to do with your team members
  8. Good Luck!
