I’m a python hacker, and when nobody is looking – I can also pretend to be a Linux admin.

I’ve rolled custom object relational mappers that are like SQLObject, helped build CRM solutions, mortgage financial models and an assorted pile of test driven development related tasks. I’ve setup Xen boxes, Amazon EC2 instances, setup network monitoring with SNMP trap viewers – all kinds of technology nerdery.

I’m particularly fond of practices that promote simple quantifiable metrics to guide development practices to become better and faster.

In a previous life, I was a pretty good Java developer but I gave that up to work less and get more done by using better tools.

I’ve lately been dabbling with Erlang to write a web spider and to teach myself a new trick.
