Frequently asked questions
Can I get an installed or customized version of the Assembla software?
Yes. We will sell the software for white-label or in-house use, at reasonable prices. Please contact info@assembla.com for more information.
Is there any limit to the number of spaces that I can create?
We do not currently place a limit on the number of spaces that you can create. Each Commercial space has a separate subscription charge.
Will I get cut off if I use more than 500MB?
No. Disk space limits are not strictly enforced. If you are using a lot of space, you should support our effort to provide quality hosting by purchasing a commercial space subscription, and we will remind you to do it. We provide extra disk space to volunteer projects, such as open source projects and research projects.
When will you archive my space?
If you use a lot of disk space, and do not respond to our repeated requests that you purchase a commercial subscription or register as volunteer, we will eventually archive your space.
How does the external backup feature work?
The backup feature guarantees that you will always have access to the source code and design materials from an Assembla Commercial space, even if you cannot access Assembla.com. Each night, it backs up your subversion archive, trac database, and saved files to an Amazon S3 storage account that you control. You must provide the Amazon S3 account.
