Planning Changes

WithWow Ornerythis Orcpage abouthad some really old info. Pious Paladin is taking Traipse OpenRPG to a new level of gaming. Planning changes for the software is done one of the R&D Development projects for software. These projects are not just experiments, they are fully functional softwares with a purpose.

Feel free to close I am looking at options for makingdownload the mapR&D Projects. As of choice. February It12, looks like a wx.FloatCanvas is going to be a solid choice.  The demo created an infinite plane and it allows for zooming in and out, and grabbing the plane and moving it.

The Canvas also has draw features, though I thought2011 they whereare reallynot uglyall thethat couldgreat, comebut into play later. I thought the image drawing could have been better also.  Still, the mapthey will be aupdated definiteas imrpovementdevelopment overprogress. theThe currentfirst websight pageof stylednew map.

I am closely watching the WebKit package: http://webkit.org/ because thatfeatures will beappear anin improvementthese projects and trickle down to the chat. game Insteadtable ofas itdevelopment being just HTML it woll be a more advanced web page style.  I like the web page style in the chat still because HTML is open and I feel users need that.stabilizes.

Dealing with Dependencies

With Pious addingPaladin advancements that are not standard to Python it will be a little bit more difficult to make sure the user gets the correct dependencies.  To prevent this problem I will first close the Ornery Orc branch on the dev trac (meaning no further updates but the source is there) and create a new one for Pious Paladin. The Alpha will open Pious Paladin.

The Traipse_Installer-exe-src will not change, but a new one will be created which will contain the source and the dependencies. It might make the .EXE a bigger file, but it should speed up the install process.  Of course,has all the dependencies willset bein linktwo downloads. And this time one of them is not just a measly GUI experience, it is a full on set of libraries for everything needed to theirmake relativea pages.
