Yeah, robots !

The goal of this project is to create a very small robot able to compete for Eurobot 2010.

Every year we see the same kind of robot in the competition: 30x30cm black boxes. It's time for some change !
Our goal is to have the smallest robot Eurobot ever saw, able to compete and score. Of course It will not be able to exploit the rules in their entirety, but we expect it to score a bit and show that it is possible to build something else than a big cube on wheels.

Overview

Here is a work-in-progress version of the robot. Everything fits in 42x42x42mm (LCD, battery and camera included).

The motors directly drive the wheels. Old mouse encoder wheels are maintained in contact with the wheel's rubber tire, to be able to measure the robot's movements.
