Graph Control
Graph Control
A custom C# control could be built from scratch, but there are existing free and commercial graph controls available.
- DevExpress XtraCharts Suite appears very polishd and comprehensive with 2D and 3D controls for desktop and web. It retails for $250, and is another top choice. (Free if we provide a plug for their website, making it the current top choice.) The demonstration center has many attractive examples of the XtraCharts controls in action.
- GigaSoft chart suite, web, .NET, and native controls, 2D and 3D, pretty, with LOTS of possible display options. Lite version is $650 with evaluation available. If we could get a decent discount this would be one of Drew's top choices.($324 after educational discount solicited by Drew.)
- C2DPushGraph free on Code Project, modeled on Windows Task Manager graph.
- Realtime Chart and Graph simple Code Project project with source.
- Quinn-Curtis real time graph tools for .NET are a bit ugly but cover a wide range of usage scenarios for $250.
- TeeChart.NET polished commercial package of real-time reporting controls for $719 with 50% educational discount available.
- Silyeek-Tech free scrolling graph control binary with possibility of source for free after contacting author.
- 24x7 2D and 3D graph controls, pretty and expensive. $2200 for 2D or 3D COM control, $2200 for Compact Framework control, $800 for .NET control.
- DynaPlot.Net shareware version available, $450 for license. Ugly and appears out-dated.
- KineticaRT is simple and relatively cheap, appears to do what we need. $100-$200.
- Nevron Chart for .NET another polished commericial offering not as comprehensive as the top choice options, available for $299.
- Telerik RadControls, comprehensive controls suite that includes a chart control, $1300.
