Scissors
Scissors is a minimal Twitter client for Java enabled mobile phones.
Goals
The goals of the project are to provide a program characterized by:
- quick and efficient operation,
- low network traffic (lower connection cost),
- high usablity.
It is not the goal of the project to provide all the features of Twitter through the cell phone.
Progress
The current version of the program is 1.0.1. It is an actual release and was tested to the limits (of one man with a cellphone and only so much money).
Constraints
The provided client is required to run on Java enabled mobile phones with the following configuration:
- CLDC 1.1,
- MIDP 2.0.
Functional Requirements
The user of the program,
- can update their Twitter status through the mobile phone,
- can list the recent updates of their friends (people they follow) on demand,
- does not have to enter their credentials each time the software starts.
