Ovenfreak is a Python wiki. A minimal wiki that encourages hacking. A minimal wiki that runs on FastCGI and mod_python and mod_wsgi without any frameworks. You need it.

As of Leopard, I am officially competing with Apple.

Did I mention that it powers the National Enloe Mathematical Olympiad website? It does.

Why, Super-Programmer, Why?

• I wanted to learn Python. I did.
• MoinMoin is too big for the end-user to hack on.
• The Python wiki market is pretty small.
• I'm awesome, therefore everything I produce must be awesome.

Features

• Works on shared hosting without any frameworks installed. All it needs is mod_python or FastCGI; Python 2.4 or above; and tender love.
• Easy integration with sexy text filters like Markdown, SmartyPants, and Textile
  • Markdown/!SmartyPants included and used by default
• Modular, elegant code that's perfect for hacking
• Dead-easy template system that uses Jinja2
  • Alternatively, you can replace it with other templating systems like Genshi or Mako
• Some say "Damn fast." Others, "What just happened? It was so damn fast I didn't see."
• Small and sweet and open to suggestions
