OrientDB is a free java opensource NoSQL DB with transaction support released under Apache 2.0 licence. It's really fast, lightweight, actively maintained with capabilites in both document/graph/object orientations but still supporting SQL and with clustering features in the work.
Currently, OrientDB lacks step by step tutorials and documentation, especially needed by newbies having no experience of java and of any tools related to this platform. The purpose of that space is to allow newbies and others to share their OrientDB learning path and experiments by providing many little "How To" we can discuss and improve, so we would have resources and experience to continue developing our skills, community efforts and a better approach for newscomers.
For those interested to join the efforts, you can ask for edit access by sending an email to orientdb @ tickets DOT assembla DOT com which is possible just by being registered on assembla.com
