IOTA - Improving OpenURL Through Analytics

Welcome to the IOTA homepage! This initiative makes use of log files from various institutions and vendors to analyze element frequency and patterns contained within OpenURL strings.The reports created from this analysis inform vendors about where to make improvements to their OpenURL strings so that the maximum number of OpenURL requests resolve to a correct record.

There are several types of information available from the homepage:

• Membership roster: There are eight members in IOTA, representing academic libraries and commerical content vendors.
• Log file statistics: This sections provides a current listing of log files available for analysis.
• IOTA blog posts: Displays a snippet of content from this project's blog, http://openurlquality.blogspot.com
• Section for twitter posts on this project.

The homepage also contains a button, labelled Run Report, that allows you to launch an analysis on any of the available log files.
