Firefox does not stop processing the current page, and by consequence does not stop sending comet requests, which results in it receiving multiple window.location redirects and attempting to follow all of them, which further delays its departure from the current page, thus producing more requests.

Webkit correctly stops sending new comet requests upon being redirected via a window.location assignment.
