The Full Thrust Game Server (FTGS)

Welcome to the open source project page for FTGS, the Full Thrust Game Server. As its name implies, FTGS is an open source Game Server for the FullThrust space naval wargame.

The goal is for it to be RESTful web service written in Python using Django that will eventuallycan be hosted by Google App Engine.

Status

FTGS is currently in the ConceptDesign stage. To track our progress (or help!) please read the iHack blog or join the Full Thrust/Java mailing list.

Once we begin development, you can access our Mercurial repositorybrowse and file (or view) issue tickets.

Scope

FTGS is based on the Full Thrust Light ruleset, which is intended to be a lightweight subset of the (upcoming) 3.0 version of Full Thrust.

Our initial goal is to built a simple web service, along with a basic HTML user interface. In the future we may (or may not) directly support richer graphical front ends.

Licensing

All source code is available under the CommonPublicAttributionLicense open source license. We require all graphical front ends accessing our web services (or using our libraries) to display the following Attribution Information:
