Version 0 0 3
Version 0.0.3 available for Windows, OSX, Linux
Download your plugin form the Files section. The OSX universal plugin is kindly provided by Sandy Barbour.
Usage
After installing the plugin (put the xpl from the ZIP into your x-plane/resources/plugins folder) you get a new Menu entry in the plugins menu in x-plane:
Activate the FOV-Loader and get the sub menu (currently only one entry)

select this and you get the settings window

Unlike the x-plane rendering settings this is a small window in the center of your screen. You can see your aircraft panel behind. Change the value, hit "Apply" and immediately see how the visible panel area changes. Play with the value until you have found the right one and hit "Save". The chosen value is applied and on your hard drive, in the folder of the aircraft, a small text file "fov.txt" gets created that contains just the number you entered.
Now, next time you load this aircraft, the plugin will read this "fov.txt" file, read the value out of it and apply it in X-Plane. You can copy this file to other aircraft folders that need the same FOV value.
Load another aircraft with a different fov.txt and see how the view changes to match the given FOV value.
Easy, he?
