When I try to create or run a Selenium-IDE script with a Firefox browser using Flash only (FF 3.6.21 on Mac OSX 10.4.11), Selenium does not recognise when I click on the "Browse" button, or activate the "Browse" button using a script I had already created using an HTML5 browser (FF 6.0 on Mac OSX 10.6.8). Both macs are running Flash 10.3.183.5. Could this be associated with the fact that the filepath field is absent in the Flash version of FileSender?

Selenium-IDE seems to recognise at least some of the other buttons using Flash only. A little Googling tells me that others have (at least in the past) also encountered similar issues with Flash when using Selenium-IDE. As the "Browse" button is generated by the respective browsers, is there nothing we can do here?

    Is this any help. http://code.google.com/p/flash-selenium/
I found the same thing - flash file request button seems to be an issue.

Chris reports: doesn't appear to be a way to solve this until we loose the dependency on Flash.

Planned for release changed from 1.5 to remains a known defficiency in 1.5
Putting ticket on hold for the time being. Not so much a FileSender issue as a Selenium-Flash issue. Not much we can do about it.

Status changed from New to Accepted
Put it on "accepted" as this is something that is relevant for automated testing and thus something we as a project need to fix. But not for the 1.5 release.

Confirmed that this is still an issue for Selenium-IDE (i.e. it does not record clicking on the "Browse" button or file selection). Mac OSX 10.4.11, FF 3.6.27 (latest of 3.6.x), Flash 10.3.183.10, Selenium-IDE 1.6.0 (latest).
