Space tags: rts  2D  game  SDL  strategy 

Burning Dust will be a 2D real-time strategy game. It will be slightly innovative while still maintaining the classic RTS feeling.

Brainstorming ideas for the game: view it.

The game is a personal challenge to learn more about the inner workings of an engine and RTS games. It’s in the early stages of development.

The base graphics are from the unreleased game Hard Vacuum , they’re in contemporary military style.

Here is a little overview of the user interface for the game:

The sonar indicates where something important happens. In this case the tank (the one outside the view) is being attacked.
