How to use Assembla MyLyn Connector
Requirements:
You need to have at least Eclipse Ganymede (3.4) installed
Install plugin
In Eclipse:
Help -> Software Updates -> Available Software Tab -> Add Site
In opened dialog enter http://offers.assembla.com/update-site and OK
"Assembla Update-Site" will be available now in list of Available Software.
So, check Assembla Update-Site -> Uncategorized ->MyLyn Connector: Assembla
Press install and answer Yes on all questions. Answer Yes to restart Eclipse.
Connector to Repository (Space)
To connect to Assembla MyLyn Repository (Space in Assembla) do in Eclipse:
Window -> Open Perspective -> Other -> Planning
Window -> Show View -> Task Repositories
In "Task Repositories" tab right-click and "Add Task Repository"
In "Add task Repository" dialog: Assembla should be in the list -> choose it
In "Assembla Repository Settings" dialog:
- Server: Choose "Assembla" or "Assembla via https". Note: Some spaces required to work via HTTP (like assemblamylyn), other HTTPS (like breakout). In browser it redirects from one protocol to another, but rest client, used in project is not supported this. Since I just found it - I did not implemented correct error-processing for it - so, just no any tickets will be displayed for incorrectly choosed protocol
- Enter User ID/Password
- Check "Save password" (recommended) - just did not tested without it
- Open "Additional Settings" - current list of Spaces, available for user is empty - press "Update Spaces From Repository" to update combobox and choose required space
- Change Name from "Assembla" to something like "Assembla: MyLyn Connector"
- Press "Validate Settings" to be sure everything is ok
- Press "Finish"

In the next dialog "Whould you like to add a query to the Task List for the repository?" say OK
In "Add Repository Query" enter title (like "All MyLyn Connector Tickets") and choose one of the default reports (for example "All Tickets")

Wait some time (please note - for big amount of tasks it may be quite long process)
If everything ok - you should see list of tickets in "Task List" tab under created Query (see screenshot in Space Files Tab)
Operations currently implemented with Tickets:
- Change tickets properties like Summary, Description, Priority & MIlestone
- Perform actions on ticket (Like "Move to ready to test)
- View list of attachments and add new attachments
- Create New Ticket
