Update (update 28-05-2010)

Demo is still being worked on, i think we are looking at next week if we are lucky, 2 weeks if not. this is because of the blender issue. After export the models from blender into the UDK there was a range of random things happening anything from bones being wrong to the UDK just crashing. This has now been fixed and we are back on track.

We urgently need a model in .PSA format, with a simple animation walking, jumping anything is good get back to me if you can do this. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!

The website is also still be developed, we have some basic images and logos already but most of my efforts are being put into coding for the demo

more to come soon.

Update (30-April-2010)

Hugo has been working on a demo with some nice features and we are on track for a demo release by the end of may.
Empire is also back and will be coding on the project so we have three coders now.

Work has started on a website for the project, just some basic images and content are being worked on, as well as some public documentation that we can start giving out to people about the project.

We also have some new artists joining us, they use only blender so we are working on getting some models and animations out of blender and into the UDK with support for bones/rigging etc

Also don’t forget the new Skype Conference that has been setup, this was done because some people don't seem to like IRC. Drop me an email if you have not already been added into the room. you can close the "Skype Conference" window at any time and you will still receive updates of what is being said when you are not online. Just make sure you don’t click the "Leave Conversation" button in the file menu.

Please fill out your scrum reports so we know what is going on. Even if its just to say you are doing uni work and a rough date when things will be freeing up for you. Its very hard to plan and give out tasks if you don't fill our your scrum reports one a week.

Thanks to all your guys who are filling it out i do read them every week.

Update (05-April-2010)

Not to much to report this week, i have been doing a hell of a lot of coding, in everything from Flash, VB6 even Assembly to get back into the flow of things. there is a demo scheduled to be released by the end of the month so most of my time is spent working on that with Hugo Ruivo.

I will be catching up with a lot of you towards the end of the week, but i want to get something coded first. as always email if you need anything.

If i have missed anything guys let me know, hopefully by the end of this month we will have a very simple demo to show, custom wire model for at lest the main character. then we can get to work on the texturing

One last thing i will be talking to Ivan and a few of his friends so we can start recording some basic voice overs for the game, just to get a feel of things. as i know GBJackson has put written down loads of quotes that are just hilarious.

Update (30-March-2010)

Ok guys, big progress has been made the past couple of days. me, Josh and GBJackson have been talking about the direction of the project, and we have finally nailed it down to a great concept.

Ed Fisher - Undying Man

The look and feel to the game is a crisp, sharp modern look for the uptown area where all the big bio tech company’s are located.
And a very broken, crack pavement, run down slum style feel to the building covered in spray paint for the slums area.

Coding will also be started later this week. Getting to work on part of a level (not textured). So we can test out some of the core mechanics we have been working on.

As for Animation this is still a problem, i have been talking to a few amateur animators, and we are making progresses, but i still need to put more work into the art team and this area in general. There will be a lot of recruitment in that field over the next few weeks.

Thanks to a friend of mine who runs another amateur studio, i have found some great free to use (even commercially) animation rigs. check them out, original created by Carnegie Mellon University (Disney Owned from what i hear)
