The entire land-mass availible in the game.  It serves as a base for all non-GUI elements.

Inventory Menu Mock-up


The gui elemant (left portion of the screen) displays inventory & position info.

Map should pop in as the other portion of the menu finishes its entrance animation. 

Also pauses the game.

Lite GUI Mock-up

Contains bare minimum (mini-map, lat/long, and colony name).

 

This can only be used with a more robust inventory screen, maybe along with the heavy gui.

town icon

 The world element that trigger the town menu.

Should be reusable.

Based on photos, or historic fiction (JT).

PNG image has been added to a movie clip (town_mc) in Sprite.fla.

 

town_mc has multiple frames(names bottom, left, right, & top), each has a different town version.  The stop command had been added to each frame.

 Players trade goods and start fishing trips from here.

 Set up like old school adventure titles (think "Monkey Island" or "Penny Arcade Adventures".

Uses reuseable set pieces.

gold area moves up and down to hi-lite the good.

area under the "buy" and "sell" should flash when player hits the corresponding arrow.

 Boat

 Used to for fishing trips.  Area under the wave live should always match the body of water to improve the overall look.

 Mountains

Slows movement by 50%.

Forest

 

 Shadow has already been adjusted to avoid tree float.

 increases movement speed by 50%

 Sample uses all 4 road tile.  The real background is tranparent to better fit on world map.
