The EncounterPRO Foundation believes that it is important for the success of any EHR, and particularly any open source EHR to ba able to participate in a solution which is certified and allows providers to maximally benefit from the provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).

EncounterPRO-OS already satisfies many Meaningful Use criteria.  Of the remaining, some can be satisfied with modest improvements to the OS product and others will need to be satisfied through a partnership with a 3rd party.    The following table describes the status values:

MU Status Meaning
Available Now EncounterPRO can perform this functionality now but is awaiting documentation
Documented EncounterPRO can perform this functionality and here is a link to the documentation on the EncounterPRO.ORG site
Needs Enhancement It makes sense to satisfy this criterion within the scope of the Open Source product, but EncounterPRO-OS needs one or more enhancements to pass the certification test.  A link to the milestone page will show the details of what enhancements are needed.
Looking It makes sense for this criterion to be satisfied by a separate module or partner.  The project is still looking for a partner.
Found It makes sense for this criterion to be satisfied by a separate module or partner and a partner has been found and a link to more information is provided
NA It does not make sense to satisfy this criterion in this way

The following table lists the current status of all of the Ambulatory EHR certification criteria.
