I’m a Rails developer, and I’ve spent the last two years on a sprawling construction project management app (<a href="http://www.procore.com">www.procore.com</a>), bringing it to be performant and stable. And for the past 8 years, I’ve been in roles ranging from system administrator to consultant. My preferred position on the web stack is middle-back tier, hanging out in Linux-land with Ruby and a database (MySQL and PostgreSQL preferred), though I have also extensive jQuery experience from working closely with Yehuda Katz. Lately I’ve gotten really into Twilio and HAML. Ruby is amazing.
I’d love to work on Assembla – I’ve heard wonderful things about it, and even tried to convince my team to use it. In fact, now that I’m seeing it again, I wanted very much for Procore to be a competitor to it, since there are a lot of tools in the construction world that can transfer over to software construction. That’s interesting.
As far as compensation, I’m looking for $70/hour.
Anyway, let’s talk! More of my skills and professional background can be found at: <a href="http://bit.ly/ccres">http://bit.ly/ccres</a>.
