I have a BSc in Computer Science (University of Piraeus, Greece), an MSC in Data communications Networks and Distributed systems (University College London) and an Executive MBA degree (Athens University of Economics and Business).
My professional experience is mainly on software development of web based Management Information Systems, software development projects management, customer support and training in the areas of ICT.
I have professional experience as software development department manager, as well as project and technical manager of software development projects. I have about 10 years software development experience mostly in java environments as well as in .NET C#. I have also worked with MS SQL Server as well as MySql RDBSs. Most of my experience is in dynamic web development using JSPs or ASP.NET and of course html, css, javascript, ajax.
The last 5 years of my career I have also been employed as a teacher in secondary education as well as in vocational training institutes in the area of Informatics. Teaching has helped me in developing skills such as communicability, motivation and sympathy. I have exercised my skills of preparing presentations, speaking and conveying technical knowledge in small and larger audiences of variant background.
I currently maintain a permanent teaching position in a public school. However software development has always been my passion and I also work from home as a software engineer.
