- SEO, social networking, copywriting, application development
Hello,
In my more than 23 years as an editorial and marketing communications pro, I have done it all: written for and edited Web sites, magazines, e-newsletters and anything else you can think of in either electronic or print media. I’ve managed marketing campaigns, overseen outside contractors and agencies, directed the launch of Web sites, produced sales and training videos and more.
Of particular interest to you, I’m intimately familiar with the IT marketplace, especially as it relates to app developers. I’m the former editor-in-chief of Application Development Trends, and as the publishing and marcom manager at EMC, I worked closely with our internal developers as well as our developer and application management customers.
When I’m talking to a CIO or an application developer, I speak their language and understand their needs to run a lean and agile organization.
Please take a look at my blog editorialengine.com to get an idea of my background and skills. You’ll see that I write extensively about online marketing, SEO, analytics, copywriting, social communities and other topics that are relevant to your needs. If you would like a formatted copy of my resume, go to editorialengine.com/Resume.pdf.
I’m also a solid manager of my time and that of others and I have loads of experience successfully overseeing complex projects from launch to completion. I’m comfortable working one-on-one and in collaboration with large teams whose members are scattered across the country.
I’m also the sort of person who grasps new concepts swiftly and knows exactly how to turn them into actionable content. That’s one reason I have been able to develop a keen understanding of how to build industrial-strength Web sites and publications with the reader in mind. While at ADT, for example, my team won two major awards for Web site development.
After you have read some of my blog and resume, I hope you’ll agree there is a strong fit for us. My desired hourly rate is $35 to start.
