I’m a very driven and motivated programmer. I have a background in fielding prototypes based off of research and development work while working at the Air Force Research Lab. I started getting my feet wet with Rails 1.2.6 on a financial regulation compliance app, and transitioned that application to Rails 2+. Currently all of my new development is on 2.3.4

I have experience using git, SVN, Cucumber/RSpec as well as the Amazon cloud APIs, I’m also familiar in concept with MongoDB and Key/Value stores. I have a number of personal sites that I have written and manage. I have experience using Capistrano for deployments and have hosted on many different setups including Apache/Proxy -> Mongrel or Thin, Lighttpd -> Mongrel, and Passenger Phusion, all on shared hosts.

I have been a successful telecommuter in the past working on the DCNLive.com website, a college focused video sharing portal built with rails. DCNLive has many advanced features including Video Transcoding, Amazon S3 as a CDN, and Async Work Queues.

I work locally on Mac OS X, but also have VMWare Fusion running WinXP and IE 8 for compatibility testing.
