- You are a designer?
- You think you can make a better design than the one we have already?
- You would like to get involved in an open source project like Linkster?
- And you can do that for not even $1?
Hey! Come in and reply to this message to join our team and have fun with us, we can’t pay you, but really, we need you :-)

Hey There,
I am interested in taking this job, and doing some development work too!
I am a freelance designer/developer from Cambridge, England. I love designing and developing, and I can answer every question above with "Yes!".
I prefer to let people ask me questions, so if you want too, feel free to reply to this post or email me at: http://jamierumbelow.net
Regards,
Jamie Rumbelow

Hi James,
Could you please send us some links to design work that you’ve already done?

NOTE: Sorry for the double post – not sure if you got the other one. Didn’t reply properly
Hey,
As I am new to the freelance scene, I have little experience. But I make up for lack of experience in my charisma, energy and ethos.
A few peices I have designed however, are here:
A sample comp of the InkType.org design I did – I am a member of the IT Dev Team:

A small vector image I did for a tutorial:

I designed and developed an entire file-hosting site:

Don’t worry we saw your message James!
We just have to discuss with Pascal (my colleague project owner too) and also we would like to wait for more people to apply, then we will give you an answer. -

Ok, thank you, and I can’t wait for you to get in touch!
Also, I am a programmer, with a year of experience in CodeIgniter, and four in PHP. I have an Assembla account, and I am all ready for SVN access.
Thanks,
Jamie

I was bored and thought that I would try my hand at a first logo for the CI Directory project.

I’m sorry, I didn’t hit ‘Attach’.

Ugh, I guess AI files are not allowed? Actually, it looks like the attachments aren’t working at all… so check http://www.filepanda.com/file/wh6ncgxwao8c/ if you’re interested to see it.

First off, thank you for your interest in the project.
There are a few points that are still open:
a) I don’t think EllisLab will allow us to use the CodeIgniter logo for this project. They are very protective of their IP.
b) The name is still uncertain (see point 6 of the CI license).Of course I don’t want to discourage creativity, so rock on. Just something to keep in mind.

I also add the following points:
c) We think with Pascal that it is not a good idea to keep the name CodeIgniter into our application, for the reasons that Pascal gave, but also because we don’t want people to think that the application is linked to the framework, I mean that we want people to think it as an application and not something that required CodeIgniter skills to use it.
d) We don’t want use the logo of CodeIgniter for it, we have to make OUR logo.
e) That would be nice "Anonymous" to give us your name :)
f) Double thank you for your interest in our project! -
