Space Creation & Configuration
Creating new spaces and managing your existing ones are the most basic and important functions for getting the most out of your Assembla subscription. It's easy to configure your space to fit your needs. In this video, we will demonstrate how to create a new space, add and remove tools, and rearrange the space navigation.
Ticket Tool Overview
Assembla's Ticket Tool will keep your bugs/issues, improvements, client requests, and new releases organized. The Ticket tool supports a number of Agile methodologies and management needs.
- Create a ticket and attach files/Google docs, estimate tasks, log time, add comments, and much more.
- The Ticket List view gives you and your team a list view of important tasks. Easily build filters and reports.
- The Cardwall view automates the "white board and sticky note" version of a Kanban or Scrum board so you can drag task through the workflow via a digital card wall.
- The Agile Planner view is an Ajax UI that makes it easy to visually plan features, stories, and releases with drag and drop.
Time Tracking
Your team members will find it easy to enter their working hours at various places in the Assembla system. Use the Time tool to report on time expenditures.
- Quickly enter time for a project or an individual issue / bug tracking ticket
- Report on time by user, by project, or by a list of projects in a portfolio
- Export time reports to CSV format for use in accounting and billing systems
Building a Development Roadmap
The Agile Planner gives you a fast and fun way to build a development roadmap and interact with your tickets. With four different side-by-side column layouts you can view your tickets and milestones on the same page to better plan your releases or create an infinite number of subtickets under each parents ticket.
Messages
Messages posted on the message board go to the right people, so that you do not lose information in email threads.
